A few years ago I found myself in transition and even though I was closer to family, I remember when I first realized just how bad things were. I was stuck in traffic, running late to pick up my daughter, and had no one to call. She sat in the school office for over an hour until I could get there. I needed a village. And I know you’re thinking, “girl what about your family?” The harsh reality is that family doesn’t always equal support or village.
After that day, I realized I had to do something about our lack of a village. “Create the space you seek.” I also knew I could not be the only one. I began to hear stories from Mommy’s who were frustrated and overwhelmed. Some had husbands and some did not. Some needed a break for a few hours, others needed to vent their frustrations, all needed support that wasn’t available for them.
The Mommy Village was created to equip and empower its members to be capable, conscious, and commanding mothers. Our goal is to provide live experiences, educational resources, and the supportive community that enables a mommy to be her most authentic self. We build supportive communities by giving moms a safe space to connect with other like-minded moms.
